Q: How Good are Dell Computers?

Bookmark and Share

A: I am.

I got my first computer the summer after my Freshman year in high school, which was 1981.  It was a Timex Sinclair 99/4a and I believe we purchased it at the supermarket for about $100.  I loved it but outgrew it pretty quickly, as it had a an AMAZING 16k of RAM.

In the next several years I owned a Radio Shack/Tandy TRS-80, Commodore VIC-20, Commodore 64, Apple IIe, and Apple IIgs.  By this point I was in college and started working as a COBOL programmer, where I was introduced to the PC World.  My first PC (at work) was a Wyse XT compatible with an amber monochrome screen.

I was a pretty good programmer but was much more interested in the Novell networks we were starting to install for our customers, and ended up doing more of that than programming.  Finally, one of our customers hired me to be their I.T. Director and my transition from programmer to network guy was complete.  I stayed at that company through some rocky times for nearly ten years, and then started my own consulting practice.

I am a full-time I.T. Consultant and part-time Internet marketer, and I truly enjoy what I do, and especially now being able to do it online and help so many people.  I really appreciate you stopping by here today, and if you like the material on this site, I hope you'll check out Computer Secrets Unleashed or Computer Training Unleashed as well.

On a personal note, I have been married to my lovely and supportive wife, Lisa for ten wonderful years, and we have four kids and two Labrador Retrievers.  (So I've got my hands full in the offline world as well!)
